A graduate of Cardiff University, UK, Vishwaveer started his career as a banker with HSBC’s Premier Division before moving onto publishing when he joined You & I Magazine in Hyderabad as one of their founding editors. In his capacity as Creative Editor there, he was responsible for writing and editing the main stories and features of the magazine apart from being involved in Sales and Marketing, Social Media expansion and Events. In 2009 he moved base to Mumbai and joined HELLO! India, a joint venture between BBC and BCCL under their magazine division WWM. Over the next few years Vishwaveer was promoted to the position of Assistant Editor of the publication, often writing the magazine’s cover stories and large features. During his time at HELLO! he profiled some of India’s most prominent personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Maharaja Gaj Singh of Jodhpur, Deepika Padukone and a string of high profile industrialists, sportspersons, artists and fashion stalwarts. With a strong understanding of luxury reportage, he travelled extensively, on behalf of the publication, reviewing hotels, tourist destinations and restaurants around the world, earning an in-depth knowledge of global luxury and design trends in the process. He was also an integral part of HELLO!’s event team, often overseeing the production of their prestigious annual Hall of Fame Awards, apart from being part of a core special sales unit created to target major clients like Raymond, Nirav Modi, Diageo, Moët & Chandon and Mercedes Benz.

During his seven years in Mumbai, Vishwaveer also authored a biography for Penguin Book’s Shobhaa De watermark, apart from freelancing for publications like Deccan Chronicle and People Magazine. A natural aesthete, he joined Trance Hotels in May 2016 as their Executive Director, overseeing the company’s branding, strategy and business development, as well as taking an active role in the design and execution of our upcoming projects. Though not a trained hotelier, he worked briefly with Marriott, Thistle Hotels and Jurys Hotels during his time in the United Kingdom. When not at work, he likes to spend his time traveling, reading and researching art and design.
